I built a little piece of software that takes noise and “clumps” it, similar to how dyed potato starch particles clump in the autochrome process. I can produce whatever colors I like.
Results like this are achieved in photoshop

The process was clunky, and took a lot of RAM and infuriating at times.
So I wrote my own software for processing the images.
I can adjust saturation, brightness and the hue of the digital grains of potato starch…
