The Squishy Lens
Those streaky bits are shot with my squishy lens. A silicone rubber lens compressed between two plates of polycarbonate under control of a small computer. When fully compressed, the device acts like a window. Uncompressed it is a diopter, and partially compressed, the center is a window and the edges are a dipoter. The idea was mine, and I did all of the design and engineering, mechanical, optical, electronic, software and some materials engineering.

The Image Shaker
The image shaker is device which produces the effect of explosions and earthquakes optically, as opposed to the old school way of shaking the camera and lens. The image shaker is quiet and predictable. I conceived of the device when I learned of the old way of doing it. I did all of the design and engineering on the image shaker as well.
